But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hieronymus Schnäbeli couldn't finish the play. Utz Bauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Boruc in the 16th minute of play. Tim Noll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Witomir Lato fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's protests and gave Witomir Lato a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the match, Alois Ritschel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobiasz Zawadzki, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Boruc in the 28th minute of play forced Balus Treter's goalkeeper Utz Bauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateusz Ikalewicz during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Balus Treter booed when GIOVANNI DZIADZIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Ikalewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tobiasz Zawadzki acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hieronymus Schnäbeli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Boruc in the 37th minute of play forced Balus Treter's goalkeeper Utz Bauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Noll's late challenge caught a GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Noll helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Teobald Kempski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tobiasz Zawadzki had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Hieronymus Schnäbeli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iker Boruc made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Robert Deipenbrock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tim Noll took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobiasz Zawadzki. Tobiasz Zawadzki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alois Ritschel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes of play, Balus Treter's Alois Ritschel made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobiasz Zawadzki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ekpenyong Vogler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobiasz Zawadzki having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Balus Treter's Hieronymus Schnäbeli got a free kick in the 90th minute. Balus Treter's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
