With a little luck, MagicTeam's Berten Wouqier got control of the ball when Fabian Borg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christopher Talbot scored 4-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Berten Wouqier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Sliema Dragons FC's Christopher Talbot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Berten Wouqier. That made the score 5-0 after 43 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
