With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias Busch in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Rocha saved Defensores de Savóia from getting behind. Seagulls were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Defensores de Savóia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joep Haremeijer took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Joep Haremeijer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Renato Rocha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Mathias Busch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Renato Rocha was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mathias Busch made a kick off. Natã Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Mathias Busch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Defensores de Savóia's Renato Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Defensores de Savóia booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ton Stolte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Defensores de Savóia's goalkeeper Renato Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Popken. Defensores de Savóia's Renato Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Savóia from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Olívio Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensores de Savóia's supporters rose to their feet, but Olívio Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jurjen van der Gun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chants of Seagulls echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Defensores de Savóia had held the ball for most of the match.
