C.'s Fabinho de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Tuhuteru in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Araçá F. C.'s goalkeeper Fabinho de Queiroz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Roberto Rivelino came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lemel SV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Rivelino couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute Dedê Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Bos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Jan Sterenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lemel SV's Raymond Bos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo José de Andrade in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beto Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabinho de Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Marcus Tuhuteru sent off a good shot on target. Cees Ebbinge hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Roberto Rivelino put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Fabinho de Queiroz. When the final whistle sounded Lemel SV left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Araçá F. C..
