With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Romildo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Arantes saved ARAUCARIA FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Virgilio Romildo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Waldir Arantes. Waldir Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Araoz in the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Couto to strike the kick off in the second half. If Virgilio Romildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Waldir Arantes made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Virgilio Romildo sent off a good shot on target. Albiceleste F.C.'s Virgilio Romildo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 78th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Virgilio Romildos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Waldir Arantes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Albiceleste F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
