After 2 minutes, Boruc Gajewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. BOCA JUNIORS and the Bozkurt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Ambrosio Bernaldo got a free kick in the 6th minute. Bozkurt's Boran Gencal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Martino in the 9th minute of play. Feyyaz Uçar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Leo Franco made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Caniggia in the 19th minute of play forced Bozkurt's goalkeeper Boran Gencal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bozkurt getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Taner Sartık hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Atilano Bembe got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Bozkurt booed when C.A. BOCA JUNIORS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Bernaldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feyyaz Uçar got free with Leo Franco in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feyyaz Uçar in the 35th minute of play. Herminio Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

BOCA JUNIORS booed when Bozkurt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sinan Ateş didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.A. BOCA JUNIORS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bozkurt.
