The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Veth Crystals's Marcos Lama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Tasso in the 2nd minute of play. He Lin Di could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Rogério Soberano made a huge save. Marcos Lama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Gunn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Jesus Jardel in the 19th minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Marcos Lama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Lama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Jesus Jardel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in CA Portugália's zone, Erik Persson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Soberano came out of the goal and Erik Persson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Gunn in the 31st minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Marcos Lama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led CA Portugália's Claudinei Tasso to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Lama despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Jesus Jardel came free, but Marcos Lama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho Barral in the 44th minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Marcos Lama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Barry Gunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Lama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Jesus Jardel in the 46th minute of play forced Veth Crystals's goalkeeper Marcos Lama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mario Jesus Jardel made the kick off in the second half. Claudinei Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Marcos Lama made a huge save. Marcos Lama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Gunn in the 59th minute of the match. Rogério Soberano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Kisiel in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Jesus Jardel came free, but Marcos Lama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Gu Xiang Zhou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Veth Crystals booed when CA Portugália was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gu Xiang Zhou didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th match minute, CA Portugália was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Gaitano to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute Barnaba Kisiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Soberano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Soberano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from He Lin Di in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to CA Portugália getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Pit Bull hit a great ball. Gwidon Patora took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogério Soberano. CA Portugália's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Barnaba Kisiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinei Tasso got free with Marcos Lama in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Serafino Gaitano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Veth Crystals's Gwidon Patora in action when he in the 86th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Claudinei Tasso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 87th playminute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gwidon Patora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Veth Crystals's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwidon Patora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Soberano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pit Bull fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Portugália's protests and gave Pit Bull a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CA Portugália's Pit Bull got a free kick in the 93rd minute. CA Portugália's Rogério Soberano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Patora in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
