Cecilio Tenorio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ursino Brunet went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the match, Nacional's Ursino Brunet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cecilio Tenorio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cecilio Tenorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ursino Brunet in the 27th minute of the match. Domingo Owen made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nacional's Guilllermo Bulnes. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ursino Brunet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Algarrobo's Cecilio Tenorio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jiang Chen Lin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ursino Brunet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecilio Tenorio was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Felipe Carballo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Juan María Squella took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juaneizu Merida. Nacional's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half Nacional were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ursino Brunet to strike the kick off in the second half. Ursino Brunet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 54 minutes of play, Nacional's Ursino Brunet made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cecilio Tenorio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ursino Brunet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Cecilio Tenorio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidelio Aldunate in the 63rd minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Friedrich Händel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juaneizu Merida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match Juan María Squella sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juaneizu Merida skillfully saved the ball. Algarrobo's Cecilio Tenorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ursino Brunet in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Nacional got a corner. Algarrobo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonides Trarigo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Leonides Trarigo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Algarrobo's Cecilio Tenorio did a great save. Matías Viña struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cecilio Tenorio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. In the 92nd minute, Nacional's Ursino Brunet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. In the 95th minute, Ursino Brunet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cecilio Tenorio was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. The Nacional players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
