René Jacobsen charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed René Jacobsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Funebrero FC booed when ÑOQUIS 29 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. René Jacobsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristides Cordario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Cordarin in the 5th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Funebrero FC's Ruben Balesio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aristides Cordario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Funebrero FC's goalkeeper Atilano Intxixu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robustiano Quinteros. After 32 minutes Funebrero FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Efrain Natal who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ÑOQUIS 29 FC's corner Efrain Natal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Atilano Intxixu quite easily take care of the ball. Silvano Cordarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Cordario having to interfere. The ÑOQUIS 29 FC fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when ÑOQUIS 29 FC's René Jacobsen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. René Jacobsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atilano Intxixu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. René Jacobsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Atilano Intxixu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of René Jacobsen's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 46th match minute, Funebrero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Balesio to maneuver through the defense.

Roque Burutzagi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Atilano Intxixu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Cordarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Cordario. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvano Cordarin ran back to his position shaking his head. After 59 played minutes ÑOQUIS 29 FC got a freekick which was hit by Placido Baudelio. René Jacobsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Intxixu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Funebrero FC's zone, René Jacobsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Intxixu came out of the goal and René Jacobsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iker Txilar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Cordarin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristides Cordario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute René Jacobsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Intxixu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Ruben Balesio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Funebrero FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ÑOQUIS 29 FC the free kick. The supporters of ÑOQUIS 29 FC booed when Funebrero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Balesio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Funebrero FC defense, René Jacobsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atilano Intxixu. The Funebrero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atilano Intxixu should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers René Jacobsen in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilano Intxixu saved Funebrero FC from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, René Jacobsen notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Funebrero FC's Atilano Intxixu. Atilano Intxixu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, ÑOQUIS 29 FC's Roque Burutzagi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Atilano Intxixu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Atilano Intxixu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Jacobsen in the 96th minute of play. Funebrero FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
