After 2 minutes, Gualter Mattos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maxaranguape - FSCMZ and the -BZF- Fc Gheraseni players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Mattos to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vágner Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octav Hortopan came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Nuno Gomes. But to his dismay, Nuno Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Aloísio Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Acalinei in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eugen Perișoară who took care of the corner kick. 19 minutes into the game, Virgil Nedelcea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Aloísio Arruda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Virgil Nedelcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Acalinei in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goalkeeper Octav Hortopan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Mattos. After 27 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Filip Urseanu. Octav Hortopan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Gomes's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Andrézinho Gaúcho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Octav Hortopan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Andrézinho Gaúcho hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Octav Hortopan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Fc Gheraseni from getting a goal against them. The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelian Acalinei was the one to do the kick off. Octav Hortopan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Figueiredo in the 51st minute of the match. Ioan Ghimiș kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Sandrinho Travassos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octav Hortopan skillfully saved the ball. Octav Hortopan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of -BZF- Fc Gheraseni booed when Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vágner Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Stelian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 69 minutes on the clock, Eugen Perișoară commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Alexandru Stelian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, Maxaranguape - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Octav Hortopan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Gaúcho in the 86th minute of the match. Maxaranguape - FSCMZ's Gualter Mattos got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Gualter Mattos off the ground. Gualter Mattos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Grigore Purje charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grigore Purje the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Grigore Purje got a free kick in the 89th minute. When Nuno Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Maxaranguape - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Gomes couldn't finish the play. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Maxaranguape - FSCMZ to leave the ground with a draw.
