The 1948 MKS fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when 1948 MKS's Beothach Brennan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when LEBEG Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Piccinini didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Gilbert Jameson from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Demetrio Busillo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 21st minute, Gilbert Jameson made a precise shot to the right of Demetrio Busillo. LEBEG Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Pearse McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Demetrio Busillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demetrio Busillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donleavy Barrett in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, LEBEG Team's Demetrio Busillo got control of the ball when Baoithin Doherty tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Donleavy Barrett came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the 1948 MKS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donleavy Barrett couldn't finish the play. Baoithin Doherty came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Demetrio Busillo could save by the left post. Baoithin Doherty in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Demetrio Busillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 47 minutes into the match, LEBEG Team's goal looked a bit too open when Pearse McNamee came free, but Demetrio Busillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baoithin Doherty stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baoithin Doherty in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demetrio Busillo saved LEBEG Team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Baoithin Doherty in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demetrio Busillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baoithin Doherty scored 6-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Demetrio Busillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Demetrio Busillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baoithin Doherty in the 64th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, one of LEBEG Team:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LEBEG Team. Demetrio Busillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baoithin Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Baoithin Doherty made a precise shot to the right of Demetrio Busillo. LEBEG Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 1948 MKS fully deserved thier win.
