The Curicó-Unido fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Miguel Grajales should have stopped the shot. In the 57thth minute of the game Angelo Cefero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curicó-Unido's Juan Miguel Grajales was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Angelo Cefero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nonatos United's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Cefero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Miguel Grajales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nonatos United made a substitution. Angel-Enrique De La Rosa-Choca replaced Jairo Jacinto. Nonatos United's Téo da Silva was substituted for Angelo Cefero. Nonatos United's Kaká Loureiro was substituted for Ion Hritcu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Téo da Silva in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Miguel Grajales saved Curicó-Unido from getting behind. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Curicó-Unido's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri was slow to take the kick. During this time Nonatos United's players had a chance to rest. Eduardo Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Richard-Dean Textex made a huge save. In the 72nd minute of the match Curicó-Unido got a corner. Nonatos United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eusebio Diaz de Andrade ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 75th match minute, Curicó-Unido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Diaz de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Klaas Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Miguel Grajales. The supporters of Nonatos United booed when Curicó-Unido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Diaz de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Curicó-Unido's Juan Miguel Grajales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos-Caetano Bledorn Verri in the 96th minute of play.
