Raja Aritonang might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvin van der Sar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raja Aritonang ran back to his position shaking his head. Gaudencio Lleir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 毛明昆, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute 毛明昆 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Lleir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ťĥē Řïśĭηģ §ŧŕĩкë's Klim Gabelkov got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ťĥē Řïśĭηģ §ŧŕĩкë's goalkeeper Gaudencio Lleir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite this Gaudencio Lleir quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 56th minute Raja Aritonang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raja Aritonang in the 58th minute of play forced Proteu's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Proteu's Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raja Aritonang in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fülöp Winter in the 64th minute of play forced Proteu's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute of the match, Hílton Vasconcelos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gaudencio Lleir was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gaudencio Lleir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 67th minute of the match. Edvin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raja Aritonang in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Proteu's goal looked a bit too open when Raja Aritonang came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ťĥē Řïśĭηģ §ŧŕĩкë getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Widhie Himawan hit a great ball. The supporters of Proteu booed when Ťĥē Řïśĭηģ §ŧŕĩкë was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klim Gabelkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Denílson Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Lleir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raja Aritonang was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 96th minute, Raja Aritonang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ťĥē Řïśĭηģ §ŧŕĩкë supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Proteu's performance. The match ended with a win for Proteu.
