The referee showed Eurico Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo Gilen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 minutes, Reynaldo Gilen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ and the S.E. Cachoeirinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Gilen. When Severiano Izel fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s protests and gave Severiano Izel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Severiano Izel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Hilario Aznar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Gomes in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Zé Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Aznar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Hernan Rusov hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Dorival Veloso scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilario Aznar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reynaldo Gilen struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Betão de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰. In the 37th match minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodas Canillas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Frederico Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Cachoeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Aznar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorival Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Robustiano Paz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frederico Gomes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 54th playminute. 57 minutes into the match, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s goalkeeper Hilario Aznar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Sampaio. 64 minutes into the match, S.E. Cachoeirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Gilen came free, but Betão de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Recife got free with Hilario Aznar in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute Dorival Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Aznar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st match minute, S.E. Cachoeirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as S.E. Cachoeirinha's Frederico Gomes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hilario Aznar. That made the score 1-4 after 74 minutes of play. After 79 played minutes ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Lugo. Hilario Aznar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Orlando Lugo fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s protests and gave Orlando Lugo a yellow card for diving instead. Orlando Lugo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Victorino Gombal kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s Hilario Aznar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ from getting a goal against them. S.E. Cachoeirinha were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sílvio Luís Sampaio took the corner. Rodas Canillas tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Hilario Aznar. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-6 in the 93rd minute. The ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.E. Cachoeirinha were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
