When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Bengt-Åke Nordkvist put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Everardo Francho. If Bengt-Åke Nordkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Åke Nordkvist. Roy Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Estevez in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Los Hornos getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bernardo Estevez hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Claudio Fonso in the 33rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Björkö BK's Mateusz Domarecki. Björkö BK's Roy Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Tanio in the 42nd minute of play. Fabian Valery kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Bernardo Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Hornos's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Estevez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Mårtensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustaquio Omero made a kick off.
