David Johans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Queirós in the 40th minute of play. Herminio Irrintzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Breckenfeld having to interfere. If Sílvio Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramon Videl to make the kick off. Ramon Videl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Ramon Videl charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon Videl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Defensores de Belén's David Johans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Belén from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Belén's Elpidio Furtado got a free kick in the 80th minute. David Johans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Betão Marinho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Johans, 1-4. In the 92nd minute, Ramon Videl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Breckenfeld was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4.
