Jayson Burnett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Brand got free with Afonso Mourato in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Josué Esparteiro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of River tu grato nombre's Jayson Burnett. Jayson Burnett was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jayson Burnett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Joaquim Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Melo couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Matos in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jayson Burnett saved River tu grato nombre from getting behind. In the 34th minute, Josué Esparteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lofi Girl Portimao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Joaquim Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Jayson Burnett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Matos in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Porto was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, River tu grato nombre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stacey Eason to maneuver through the defense. Ace Gray hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the River tu grato nombre defense, Nuno Porto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jayson Burnett. The River tu grato nombre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jayson Burnett should have stopped the shot. Elvis Waller hit a great ball. The supporters of River tu grato nombre booed when Lofi Girl Portimao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lofi Girl Portimao's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
