Rogelio Galo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gigel Lupea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vintilă Văduvescu during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th match minute, RB Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Văduvescu to maneuver through the defense. RB Buzău's Gigel Lupea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Galo in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 played minutes Karamázov got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Martxelin. Gigel Lupea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Blai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Martxelin in the 30th minute of play forced RB Buzău's goalkeeper Gigel Lupea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Karamázov's Mikhail Karamazov got a free kick in the 30th minute. Traian Voina got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 33rd match minute before Moises Remigio had time to react. In the 38th minute, Pablo Blai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigel Lupea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Karamázov booed when RB Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nechifor Pătrașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, RB Buzău's Vintilă Văduvescu got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Pablo Blai made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes RB Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Văduvescu. After 58 played minutes RB Buzău got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Pantea. Rogelio Galo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gigel Lupea came out and tried to block the shot, but Rogelio Galo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 66th minute. Gigel Lupea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Blai in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Nicolae Trifănucă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gigel Lupea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nistor Balint fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Remigio having to interfere. With 82 minutes on the clock, Leonides Ekaitz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Karamázov fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! Rogelio Galo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Karamázov booed when RB Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nistor Balint didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Etor hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Karamázov defense, Nistor Balint kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moises Remigio. The Karamázov fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moises Remigio should have stopped the shot. If Florentino Martxelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. RB Buzău succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Karamázov had controlled the match.
