Spectators: 187 (Terracing: 141, Seating: 43, VIP seats: 3) Club Deportivo Águila's Orlando Flores started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Orlando Flores managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Águila's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Flores was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Bertassi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Real Cruzeiro FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Laerte dos Santos hit a great ball. Nelson Hernández succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Wilmer Granados's late challenge caught a Real Cruzeiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilmer Granados helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Wilmer Granados hit a great ball. Efrain Orobio kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Deris Jimenez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Nazário De Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Cruzeiro FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valdir Tepedino in the 36th minute. After taking down the ball on Real Cruzeiro FC's corner Laerte dos Santos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Deris Jimenez quite easily take care of the ball. In the 39th minute Valdir Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deris Jimenez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Tiago Hoffmann got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Nelson Hernández hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45th play minutes Valdir Tepedino shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Deris Jimenez and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Tepedino made a kick off. Laerte dos Santos hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. 51 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Águila's Félix Pimentel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frank Bertassi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 54 minutes into the game, Félix Pimentel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Águila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cruzeiro FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Águila's Félix Pimentel got a free kick in the 54th minute. Endrick De Sousa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Real Cruzeiro FC's Endrick De Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deris Jimenez made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Valdir Tepedino sent off a good shot on target. Real Cruzeiro FC's Laerte dos Santos pulled a muscle in his back after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 67 minutes into the game, Ricardo Peña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Águila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cruzeiro FC the free kick. Ronaldo Nazário De Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Félix Pimentel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Hernández hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Efrain Orobio hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Félix Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. If Mateus Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Hernández received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Frank Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Club Deportivo Águila's Nelson Hernández got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Club Deportivo Águila support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
