An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Quintal in the 5th minute of play forced Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Luke Preca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maicon Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Preca having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Naldo Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 played minutes Swatar United FC got a freekick which was hit by Stephan Ghigo. After taking down the ball on MINEIROS's corner Maicon Quintal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luke Preca quite easily take care of the ball. After 17 minutes, Mike Bajada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Swatar United FC and the MINEIROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maicon Quintal got free with Luke Preca in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, MINEIROS's Luke Preca threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nico de Mendonça, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. MINEIROS's Naldo Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Swatar United FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Anthony Fava hit a great ball. If Vágner Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Naldo Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nico de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benê Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luke Preca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benê Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute, Naldo Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Swatar United FC's goal looked a bit too open when William Guerreiro came free, but Luke Preca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Nico de Mendonça put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luke Preca. Naldo Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 64 minutes, Naldo Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MINEIROS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Baiano. MINEIROS's Luiz Fábio Schmidt was substituted for Maicon Quintal. In the 67th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Baiano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's William Guerreiro got a free kick in the 69th minute. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nico de Mendonça hit a great ball. Luke Preca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Nando Leão fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MINEIROS's protests and gave Nando Leão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Leão to maneuver through the defense. In the 90thth minute of the game Nico de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swatar United FC's Luke Preca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luke Preca came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by MINEIROS's Luiz Fábio Schmidt. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 95th minute, Nico de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luke Preca was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. When the referee ended the match the MINEIROS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
