Arnaldo Bezerra was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anacleto Walme. In the 18th minute, Elpidio Satordi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Benigno Bidun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFTER GYM FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oiteiras the free kick. Ricardo Mosen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edu Prado went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. AFTER GYM FC's Bruno Geleberto suffered a concussion after 28 minutes and had to leave the field. 28 minutes into the game, Natanael Barral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oiteiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFTER GYM FC the free kick. Natanael Barral lost his temper 36 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Oiteiras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFTER GYM FC:s goal. Oiteiras:s Arnaldo Bezerra showed great skill when he stopped Anacleto Walme:s penalty. When AFTER GYM FC's Anacleto Walme, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for AFTER GYM FC. In the 43rd minute, Kaká Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Oiteiras were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Oiteiras made a substitution. Nando Oliveira replaced Duda Capixaba. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João de Carvalho made a kick off. Edu Prado struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Ricardo Mosen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oiteiras.
