But to his dismay, Gonzalo Oriol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Nunes FC's Aloísio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Tulio in the 31st minute of play. Aloísio Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Perico in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Perivaldo Proença recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francisco Ospin. Perivaldo Proença showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Arnaldo Barros hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 77th minute, Perivaldo Proença ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Ospin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3.
