Babbis Theocharis came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amfithea Hotspur's Chrisostomos Charoulis got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Ademar Negri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 18 played minutes America FC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Pimenta. 21 minutes into the match, America FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Chatzidis came free, but Ricardo Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Kostopoulos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ricardo Massa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Chrisostomos Charoulis hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Ian Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Kostas Kostopoulos had several of the America FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ricardo Massa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ricardo Massa made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Kostas Kostopoulos sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Amfithea Hotspur's Alexandros Vasdekis got a free kick in the 47th minute. After recieving a nice pass, America FC's Luiz Eduardo Maciel tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kostas Kostopoulos made a kick off. In the 54th minute Kostas Kostopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Chatzidis in the 55th minute of play. Ademar Negri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Amfithea Hotspur getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Chrisostomos Charoulis hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Amfithea Hotspur's Miltos Chatzidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Massa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Markos Miroforidis struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Ricardo Massa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amfithea Hotspur. 77 minutes into the game, Luiz Eduardo Maciel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. America FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amfithea Hotspur the free kick. A collision led to America FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play.
