Nikolas Karkamanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Chatzidis in the 17th minute of the match. Dimitris Maros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Babbis Theocharis made a huge save. 30 minutes into the game, Kostas Papadatos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico de Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amfithea Hotspur the free kick. 45 minutes into the match, Atletico de Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Alekos Kassanos came free, but Nikolas Karkamanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Babbis Theocharis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iakovos Papafotopoulos in the 69th minute of play. Nikolas Karkamanis made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Kostas Kostopoulos sent off a good shot on target. Amfithea Hotspur's Babbis Theocharis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iakovos Papafotopoulos in the 91st minute of play.
