The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christian Frontera was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Rafael Urtsua capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafael Urtsua really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Rafael Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fagondo Suane scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eriberto Truylos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Cresenciano in the 16th minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Christian Frontera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes, Alonzo Cresconio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falconara Albanese and the Deportivo ScrugenFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Falconara Albanese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Cresconio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rencio Peral in the 18th minute of play forced Falconara Albanese's goalkeeper Eriberto Truylos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Leopoldo Salvadore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Americo Leheren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Frontera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 32nd minute Lluis Pavieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Truylos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Truylos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lluis Pavieta went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Eriberto Truylos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lluis Pavieta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Deportivo ScrugenFC booed when Falconara Albanese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Dominix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falconara Albanese's Eriberto Truylos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fagondo Suane in the 43rd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Cresenciano to make the kick off. Marcelo Deco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Deportivo ScrugenFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Elia Minguez took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto Truylos. Eriberto Truylos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Lain Divaichin was substituted for Javiar Jordan. After a defensive mix-up in Falconara Albanese's zone, Elia Minguez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Truylos came out of the goal and Elia Minguez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the match, Falconara Albanese's goalkeeper Eriberto Truylos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lluis Pavieta. Eriberto Truylos made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Lluis Pavieta sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Deportivo ScrugenFC defense, Americo Leheren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christian Frontera. The Deportivo ScrugenFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Frontera should have stopped the shot. Rafael Urtsua's late challenge caught a Deportivo ScrugenFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Urtsua helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Falconara Albanese got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Urtsua. Falconara Albanese were furious when Gaspar Beltran was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Falconara Albanese fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! In the 96th minute, Lain Divaichin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
