Spectators: 151 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gustavo Blazquez took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Bitxintxo Zamora came free, but Ramon Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1-0 became the score in the 9th minute when Gustavo Blazquez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Bitxintxo Zamora came free, but Ramon Calvino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Marciano Austin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Illan Sirvent skillfully saved the ball. Carmelo Roano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Illan Sirvent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Artemio Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illan Sirvent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Auriolam II C.F.'s Bitxintxo Zamora in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute Bitxintxo Zamora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Carmelo Roano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 42nd minute Aldo Merexildo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illan Sirvent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Auriolam II C.F.'s Illan Sirvent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Goiz in the 45th minute of play. Illan Sirvent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Merexildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Illan Sirvent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Goiz in the 51st minute of the match. After 54 minutes Auriolam II C.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marciano Austin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Marciano Austin to fire away a dangerous shot which Illan Sirvent despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Carmelo Roano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Illan Sirvent. Auriolam II C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Roano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Bitxintxo Zamora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ramon Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Auriolam II C.F.'s Bilbo De Silva got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Auriolam II C.F.'s Illan Sirvent got control of the ball when Carmelo Roano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Aldo Merexildo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Illan Sirvent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Goiz in the 73rd minute of play. Bitxintxo Zamora took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramon Calvino. Ramon Calvino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Cai Morado kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Auriolam II C.F.'s Illan Sirvent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Goiz in the 81st minute of play. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Artemio Goiz got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artemio Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albino Orlanda hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NEWELL´S OLD BOYS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
