The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Abel Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Laurgain in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Hector Tabb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Aurelio Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ booed when Garchofila FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Dolcet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustin Pagomari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Peru in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Gogo Montrelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gogo Montrelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 minutes, Alejo Perez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ and the Garchofila FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 47 played minutes Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Perez. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romulo Peru to make the kick off. Abel Lapurdi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes, Salvador Goren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garchofila FC and the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
