But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastian Graus couldn't finish the play. Gualterio Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceandro Marroquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. ℄ΣᏩモ₦ፚ ℱ.Ȼ's Patxi Artime played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Sedeni in the 23rd minute of play. After the first half Nouvelle Vague were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 81st minute Herminio Velunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
