With an all-out effort, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Folker Ubels threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ediberto da Silveira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Betinho Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Rensenbrink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denílson Mandrak hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Lemel SV's Folker Ubels proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Lemel SV from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute of the match, Denílson Mandrak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Folker Ubels saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniel Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Serge de Boer. Folker Ubels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Denílson Mandrak slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Folker Ubels. That made the score 2-1 after 42 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Rinus Zoontjens hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Daniel Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folker Ubels read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Denílson Mandrak notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Lemel SV's Folker Ubels. Folker Ubels was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Folker Ubels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto da Silveira in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute Denílson Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folker Ubels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folker Ubels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Cavalcante in the 78th minute of the match. Betinho Leme came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Lemel SV's Edwin Aukes. But to his dismay, Edwin Aukes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. After 88 minutes, Ton Janus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemel SV and the A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Ton Janus. Denílson Mandrak struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Folker Ubels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】. In the 95th minute, Ton Janus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lemel SV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
