If Reynaldo Risopatrón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Delphine Stars booed when Costa Pacífico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Camilo Quinchen might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcu Loghin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Quinchen ran back to his position shaking his head. Sergio Livingstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Nenciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 27 minutes of play, Delphine Stars's Marian Taşcău made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Livingstone was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute, Gaspar Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Pacífico FC's Sergio Livingstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Taşcău in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Marian Taşcău ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Livingstone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Quinchen was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Delphine Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Ciorăscu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Taşcău got free with Sergio Livingstone in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 56 played minutes Costa Pacífico FC got a freekick which was hit by Miliano Fontaner. 58 minutes into the match, Costa Pacífico FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Taşcău came free, but Sergio Livingstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes, Gaspar Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Pacífico FC and the Delphine Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card.
