Pedro Augusto Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Deiman, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Dogelo's Pedro Augusto Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi Dekens in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute of the match Zijdewind SC got a corner. Dogelo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robin ten Rouwelaar ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Zijdewind SC's corner Robin ten Rouwelaar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Augusto Silva quite easily take care of the ball. Arí Custódio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Arí Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arí Custódio was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Arí Custódio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rein van Steensel. Rein van Steensel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Nogueira in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Ian Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Augusto Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdi Dekens, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Zijdewind SC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
