The supporters of Informaniaticos booed when Club Atletico Lanus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Olando didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Benvido during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Informaniaticos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Lanus the free kick. Paulino Lizardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andres Gaizkine, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Lucio Gregory came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Astor Teofilio could save by the left post. Astor Teofilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Tano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Gaizkine to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Andres Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Lanus's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Gaizkine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulino Lizardi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th match minute, Informaniaticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Luar to maneuver through the defense. If Isidoro Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Club Atletico Lanus's Andres Gaizkine dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Astor Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Gregory in the 66th minute of the match. Teo Belo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 71 played minutes Informaniaticos got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Maxin. Andres Gaizkine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulino Lizardi having to interfere. Informaniaticos's Eduardo Benvido got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Eduardo Benvido off the ground. In the 78th match minute, Informaniaticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Benvido to maneuver through the defense. Club Atletico Lanus's Juan Olando got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
