Spectators: 828 (Terracing: 622, Seating: 190, VIP seats: 16) ALEXANDRIA's Leon Turi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Angelino Esiquio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ALEXANDRIA and the Selebi-Phikwe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, ALEXANDRIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Esiquio to maneuver through the defense. When Robustiano Gora fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ALEXANDRIA's protests and gave Robustiano Gora a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ALEXANDRIA's Robustiano Gora got a free kick in the 5th minute. Glenn Cortens charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glenn Cortens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ALEXANDRIA's Cristian Geleberto was substituted for Delmiro Stanislao. In the 10th match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Cortens to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin De Wulfs short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Raul Mingo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pieterjan Valckeneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Alvaro Qwinton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ALEXANDRIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Selebi-Phikwe the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Selebi-Phikwe's Pieterjan Valckeneers tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Van Hove in the 27th minute of play forced ALEXANDRIA's goalkeeper Raul Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Tommi Ooms, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommi Ooms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Turi in the 30th minute of the match. Pieterjan Valckeneers struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Raul Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Selebi-Phikwe. 41 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Geleberto came free, but Tommi Ooms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Benjamin De Wulf made the kick off in the second half. After 57th play minutes Pieterjan Valckeneers shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Raul Mingo and just under the crossbar into goal. After 64 minutes of play ALEXANDRIA's Angelino Esiquio was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 64th minute, Angelino Esiquio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, ALEXANDRIA's Cristian Geleberto got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Kurt Van Hove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin De Wulf in the 77th minute of play forced ALEXANDRIA's goalkeeper Raul Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Geleberto in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommi Ooms prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Albano Mincho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, Benjamin De Wulf left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selebi-Phikwe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Raul Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin De Wulf in the 91st minute of play. Selebi-Phikwe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ALEXANDRIA for a fine match.
