If Blas Cordarryl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guarei FC's Alessandro Melo got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Erasmo Urdaspal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valhalla Time's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Urdaspal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Francisco Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristian Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. Maximino Eduino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but João Francisco Costa made a huge save. After 32 minutes, Claudinho Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarei FC and the Valhalla Time players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudinho Mota hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Jarbas Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Hermínio Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guarei FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Maximino Eduino took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Francisco Costa. João Francisco Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermínio Silveira made a kick off. Denis Maore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Valhalla Time got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Solustiano. Maurício Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. The referee showed Lucio Gil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Valhalla Time booed when Guarei FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Valhalla Time had played much better football throughout.
