In the 12th minute Aldo Popolizio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Nicolescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Vachon Trevino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iulian Doinaș in the 16th minute of play. After 23rd play minutes Petre Maghiran shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Vachon Trevino and just under the crossbar into goal. 27 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Petre Maghiran came free, but Vachon Trevino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Paralia Athens were awarded a corner. Petre Maghiran went to the cornerflag to take it. Iulian Doinaș was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Petre Maghiran struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Vachon Trevino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paralia Athens. Aldo Popolizio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cristian Nicolescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabon Castrejana kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aldo Popolizio to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Nicolescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Popolizio in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabon Castrejana in the 53rd minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Cristian Nicolescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Teodor Chirilă got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Petre Maghiran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paralia Athens's supporters rose to their feet, but Petre Maghiran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vachon Trevino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Enciulescu. Paralia Athens's Cristian Nicolescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierres Baz in the 70th minute of play. Vasile Enciulescu charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasile Enciulescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Enciulescu. Pierres Baz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristian Nicolescu. Paralia Athens's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Petre Maghiran took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vachon Trevino. Vachon Trevino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cristian Nicolescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aldo Popolizio's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paralia Athens's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pierres Baz was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Popolizio FBC's players had a chance to rest. Aldo Popolizio scored 2-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Nicolescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 95 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Doinaș. Deportivo Popolizio FBC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Paralia Athens to leave the ground with a draw.
