Aloísio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani de Senna having to interfere. Serafim Borba didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Barões F. C.'s Kléber Diniz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lourenço Eanes in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovani de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute of the match, Aloísio Costa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geovani de Senna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 22nd minute, Bernardo Ferrão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesualdo Camacho kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Serafim Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kléber Diniz's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Aloísio Costa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Barões F. C.'s Geovani de Senna. Geovani de Senna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aloísio Costa made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bembenfica's zone, Ramiro Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafim Borba came out of the goal and Ramiro Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 56 played minutes Barões F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Velasco. A collision led to Bembenfica getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Kevin Souto hit a great ball. Serafim Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Bembenfica's Jesualdo Camacho suffered a sore thigh after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Bembenfica made a substitution. Joaquim Albuquerque replaced Jesualdo Camacho. In the 67th match minute, Barões F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Recife to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Barões F. C. defense, Aloísio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geovani de Senna. The Barões F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geovani de Senna should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd match minute, Bembenfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Baião to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Leonardo Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Bembenfica getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Samuel Travassos hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the game, Bernardo Ferrão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Geovani de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Narciso Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kléber Diniz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Serafim Borba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Barões F. C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barões F. C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
