It was a well-played corner which Nuno Aranzubia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a defensive mix-up in Hermanö Oilers's zone, Enzo Bergada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth Forsberg came out of the goal and Enzo Bergada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Dan Hermansson hit a great ball. Kenneth Forsberg came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Nueva Adalucia's Romo Viqueira. But to his dismay, Romo Viqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Nueva Adalucia getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Peio Ponte hit a great ball. Rufo Valverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Hermansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Emil Wallgren got a free kick in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Nueva Adalucia's Nuno Aranzubia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenneth Forsberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romo Viqueira to make the kick off. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Nueva Adalucia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Unax Domenech didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Enzo Bergada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Adalucia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enzo Bergada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Romo Viqueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nueva Adalucia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romo Viqueira got free with Kenneth Forsberg in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Emil Wallgren hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes, Nueva Adalucia's Roberto Marrero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kenneth Forsberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nueva Adalucia reached it.
