Spectators: 835 (Terracing: 627, Seating: 192, VIP seats: 16) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Silvério Cordeiro got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Silvério Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minuim SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandinho Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Silvério Cordeiro sped through Xandeco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nando Proença. 16 minutes into the game, Kauan Lago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Narciso Rocha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Severo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Cordeiro in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nando Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 minutes, Caetano Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xandeco FC and the Minuim SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Minuim SS's Nando Proença threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvério Cordeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dieguinho Tasso struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Nando Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minuim SS. Xandeco FC's Nando Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Cordeiro in the 36th minute of play. Minuim SS's Silvério Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvério Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Proença having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breno Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Ribeiro in the 51st minute of play forced Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Nando Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Mangueira during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Breno Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narciso Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breno Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Minuim SS's Narciso Rocha got control of the ball when Breno Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Xandeco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Cordeiro came free, but Nando Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Breno Diniz in the 67th minute. Xandeco FC's Fernandinho Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guilherme da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Minuim SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Proença having to interfere. Reynaldo Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Nando Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minuim SS. After a defensive mix-up in Xandeco FC's zone, Vito Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nando Proença came out of the goal and Vito Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Douglas Severo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The Minuim SS manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Xandeco FC to win.
