Spectators: 166 (Terracing: 125, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bengt-Åke Thidén started the match with the kick off. Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Eger in the 4th minute of the match. Geovanni Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Staffan Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Batalhão do Peçanha's César da Rocha got a free kick in the 19th minute. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Mesquita in the 22nd minute of play. Batalhão do Peçanha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Bengt-Åke Thidén scored to the left of an out of position Toninho Xavier, making the score, 1-2. After 40 minutes of play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Isaltino Mesquita made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Staffan Lind was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the game, Geovanni Eger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Staffan Lind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Batalhão do Peçanha were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovanni Eger. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Mesquita in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Linköpings AIK's zone, Wilson Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staffan Lind came out of the goal and Wilson Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toninho Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greger Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inge Godholm hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaltino Mesquita in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Staffan Lind prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69thth minute of the game Isaltino Mesquita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Staffan Lind was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Isaltino Mesquita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isaltino Mesquita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Eger got free with Staffan Lind in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Wilson Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batalhão do Peçanha's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Staffan Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Inge Godholm hit a great ball. When Geovanni Eger came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Batalhão do Peçanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanni Eger couldn't finish the play.
