Vinicio Bidari was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andrés Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Luís Cubilla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Bidari was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. A hard shot 10 in the game by Tadeo Chus from a close distance when the talented Vinicio Bidari managed to make a qualified save. The Old Boys's players were relieved. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of The Old Boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of LA LUZ F.C.:s goal. The Old Boys:s Vinicio Bidari showed great skill when he stopped Luís Cubilla:s penalty. If Sixto Cloyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Jairo Lizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luís Mejía was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, Jairo Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Santa Luis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinicio Bidari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Sal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Santa Luis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LA LUZ F.C.'s Luís Mejía played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Lauren in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tadeo Chus could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Vinicio Bidari however easily saved by the left post. 41 minutes into the match, Sixto Cloyo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of LA LUZ F.C.'s Luís Mejía. Luís Mejía was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Patricio Sal took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vinicio Bidari. Vinicio Bidari dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

LA LUZ F.C.'s Luís Artime was substituted for Patricio Sal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleuterio Taurino to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Old Boys's goalkeeper Vinicio Bidari, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LA LUZ F.C.'s Luís Mejía played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Lizar in the 55th minute of play. Luís Mejía made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Santa Luis sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Tiburcio Longa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Mejía quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 62nd minute, Santa Luis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Mejía. The goal made the score 2-3. The Old Boys's Vinicio Bidari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Cubilla in the 71st minute of play. Vinicio Bidari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Cubilla went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Sixto Cloyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luís Mejía tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes The Old Boys got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Birjaio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Lizar in the 85th minute of play forced LA LUZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Luís Mejía to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lupe Castañeda fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Old Boys's protests and gave Lupe Castañeda a yellow card for diving instead. Lupe Castañeda hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Luís Cubilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Bidari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixto Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Bidari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Artime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, The Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Franco came free, but Vinicio Bidari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Luís Artime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
