Edelmiro Haimar came out of the goal and Benito Cutberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Javier Rocio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atila Edu in the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Abella in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Javier Rocio saved La Scaloneta from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Marco Abella made a precise shot to the right of Javier Rocio. La Scaloneta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Javier Rocio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Abella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Cutberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Haimar having to interfere. Edelmiro Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Cutberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Gilberto Lope hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Javier Rocio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atila Edu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despidida AFC's Ati Cabezudo got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Diagur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Leheren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Javier Rocio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atila Edu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute of the match Despidida AFC got a corner. La Scaloneta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. La Scaloneta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Despidida AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
