Tasso FC's Monte Lobato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. Lin Liang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monte Lobato having to interfere. Diego Latorre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Monte Lobato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Sebastián Coates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monte Lobato was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Edi Cavani. Tadeo Laurgain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brazilio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeo Laurgain having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Diego Latorre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores de Lombroso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tasso FC the free kick. After 42 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Diego Latorre. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tasso FC's goalkeeper Monte Lobato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Waldir Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Monte Lobato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lombroso's Edi Cavani got a free kick in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldir Urbano got free with Tadeo Laurgain in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tasso FC made a substitution. Machado Assis replaced Brazilio Tasso. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Tadeo Laurgain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldir Urbano in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tadeo Laurgain saved Defensores de Lombroso from getting behind. Tasso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Urbano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Tasso FC's Richard Dawkins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tadeo Laurgain. Tadeo Laurgain yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
