Jim-André Øvsthus charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jim-André Øvsthus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jim-André Øvsthus hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Radomil Andryszyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Sigve Berre made a huge save. Rakkestad IF's Jim-André Øvsthus got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jim-André Øvsthus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Ekaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Rakkestad IF were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after KoLiber's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jim-André Øvsthus took the corner. The corner ended in Jim-André Øvsthus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KoLiber's Fulgencio Ekaitz did a great save. Fulgencio Ekaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Nymoen, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Jim-André Øvsthus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fulgencio Ekaitz was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 39th match minute, Rakkestad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgeir Sandbakken to maneuver through the defense. Klement Michalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rakkestad IF's Sigve Berre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klement Michalski in the 51st minute of play. Jim-André Øvsthus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Ekaitz having to interfere. A hard shot 58 in the game by Jim-André Øvsthus from a close distance when the talented Fulgencio Ekaitz managed to make a qualified save. KoLiber's players were relieved. After 59 minutes, Otto Klepp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rakkestad IF and the KoLiber players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Otto Klepp. Fulgencio Ekaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Nymoen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Otto Klepp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fulgencio Ekaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim-André Øvsthuss short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Fulgencio Ekaitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Otto Klepp had several of the KoLiber's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Fulgencio Ekaitz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Roy Nymoen's late challenge caught a KoLiber's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roy Nymoen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st match minute, Rakkestad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Nymoen to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute Otto Klepp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rakkestad IF booed when KoLiber was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludomil Kapera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jim-André Øvsthus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Fulgencio Ekaitz made a huge save. Fulgencio Ekaitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim-André Øvsthus in the 94th minute. A collision led to KoLiber getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Mateusz Wawro hit a great ball. The KoLiber supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rakkestad IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Rakkestad IF.
