After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo's zone, Jan-Ove Håning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oleg Timofeev came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Håning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Håning, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Alvin Brenner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Oleg Timofeev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Giménez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Laerte Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Pires to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC Hackspett U21's Jan-Ove Håning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oleg Timofeev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jan-Ove Håning kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oleg Timofeev. That made the score 0-3 in the 58 minute of play. Jan-Ove Håning scored 0-4 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oleg Timofeev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Ove Håning received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
