Esteban Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Jesco in the 6th minute of the match. Delmiro Jesco hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 25th match minute, Shuspendemo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Ordono to maneuver through the defense. Gogo Maurin made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Octavio Acevedo sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute Delmiro Jesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Shuspendemo booed when Branco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Cordara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Placido Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Iigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Maurin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Gabrio, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Silverio Cebrian kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The long shot by Leonides Eriz in the 45th minute really tested Gogo Maurin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Shuspendemo made a substitution. Ildefonso Joey replaced Delmiro Jesco. Isaac Orain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Esteban Iigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Joey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Shuspendemo got a freekick which was hit by Martin Chus. After 65 played minutes, Branco FC's Leonides Eriz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gogo Maurin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Branco FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Severiano Ferrando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shuspendemo's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Ferrando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Iigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justo Cordara's late challenge caught a Shuspendemo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justo Cordara helped the player get up and apologised. Justo Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Esteban Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Santana in the 72nd minute of play. After 78 minutes, Ildefonso Joey made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Branco FC's Esteban Iigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Ildefonso Joey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Esteban Iigo. That made the score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. After some careless play in the Branco FC defense, Ildefonso Joey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteban Iigo. The Branco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteban Iigo should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the game, Placido Calisto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Esteban Iigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Branco FC's Felipe Rozarius got a free kick in the 99th minute. Esteban Iigo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 100th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Urbano Medero.
