The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Aristides Rumaldo made a huge save. In the 7th match minute, Majadita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Augusto Jaunzuria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Majadita FC defense, Marcos Lopez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristides Rumaldo. The Majadita FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristides Rumaldo should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Mateo Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Austin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Abechuco in the 22nd minute of play. Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's Rene Austin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejo Iraido in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Majadita FC booed when Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bai Zhen Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Mikelar's late challenge caught a Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Mikelar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Diego Mikelar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Lopez made a kick off. Marcos Lopez hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 51 played minutes, Majadita FC's Alejo Iraido shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rene Austin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Majadita FC reached it. A hard shot 51 in the game by Mateo Abechuco from a close distance when the talented Rene Austin managed to make a qualified save. Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ's players were relieved. With his leg Rene Austin managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Majadita FC's Agustin Orlondon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aristides Rumaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Lopez in the 63rd minute of play. Aristides Rumaldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Romero's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesus Romero in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristides Rumaldo saved Majadita FC from getting behind. Marcos Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jesus Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atletico Natalense FC-DMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Majadita FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
