Peter Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Orion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Etxahun in the 20th minute of the match. Wilfredo Etxahun made a great header on Sporting de Gijón's corner, it was just that Maravilla's Agustín Orion managed to reach the ball for a save. Wilfredo Etxahun scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agustín Orion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 25 minutes into the game, one of Maravilla:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Agustín Orion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a little luck, Maravilla's Agustín Orion got control of the ball when Nicolas Urtzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aaron Sal hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Maravilla's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Etor came free, but Agustín Orion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilfredo Etxahun got free with Agustín Orion in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 72nd minute Blas-Armando Giunta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Maravilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Arnau to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Arnau hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Agustín Orion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Etxahun, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 90th minute, Rareș Spârlea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting de Gijón had played much better football throughout.
