In the 4th match minute, Tiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albrecht Kowalke to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Șerban Rusu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wolf Poll came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.C CLUJ MEDICINA reached it. Ovidiu Voicescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Șerban Rusus short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Wolf Poll to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Hannes Steinkirchner got a free kick in the 16th minute. Dragoş Cordescu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Calistrat Potopea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Poll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Șerban Rusu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Șerban Rusu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Calistrat Potopea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wolf Poll. Tiger's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calistrat Potopea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 32 minutes into the game, Tiger's Fulko Schwaderer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Bâru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Wacker came free, but Filip Bâru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mihai Nițescu hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Fulko Schwaderer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Bâru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calistrat Potopea was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Mihai Nițescu put in a rough tackle. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C CLUJ MEDICINA! Calistrat Potopea charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calistrat Potopea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiger's Lisandro Aresti was substituted for Ingo Häusle. In the 65th minute, Calistrat Potopea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Albrecht Kowalke hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Tiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elis Färber to maneuver through the defense. When Octav Baldovin came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octav Baldovin couldn't finish the play. Elis Färber kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Wolf Poll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Potopea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd match minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Voicescu to maneuver through the defense. Filip Bâru made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Fulko Schwaderer sent off a good shot on target. Filip Bâru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Aresti in the 88th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
