After a rather tough play, Tiger's Detmar Stuchtey got a free kick in the 5th minute. Detmar Stuchtey hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Lúcio Cruz in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wolf Poll, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 9th match minute, Tiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Detmar Stuchtey to maneuver through the defense. Wolf Poll made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Erasmo de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Marco van Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolf Poll was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 13 minutes into the match, Tiger's goalkeeper Wolf Poll had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco van Basten. Filiberto Fidele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingo Häusle in the 14th minute of the match. Tiger's Wolf Poll proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Tiger from getting a goal against them. Filiberto Fidele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Pickartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Galvan to maneuver through the defense. When Detmar Stuchtey came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Tiger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Detmar Stuchtey couldn't finish the play. Jovens Democratas MZC were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Tiger's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcel Veiga took the corner. Edmund Schoettle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wolf Poll made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Lúcio Cruz sent off a good shot on target. Marco van Basten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wolf Poll having to interfere. Wolf Poll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serginho Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The supporters of Tiger booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filiberto Fidele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albrecht Kowalke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Wolf Poll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Veiga in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Detmar Stuchtey hit a great ball. When Antonius Zagermann fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiger's protests and gave Antonius Zagermann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, one of Tiger:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tiger. Tiger:s Wolf Poll showed great skill when he stopped Marco van Basten:s penalty. 57 minutes in the game, Lúcio Cruz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco van Basten in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wolf Poll saved Tiger from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcel Veiga during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ulrich Pickartz charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulrich Pickartz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Ulrich Pickartz. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Ulrich Pickartz got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Eliseu Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Poll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wolf Poll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lúcio Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Serginho Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Poll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wolf Poll having to make a save. In the 73rd minute, Marco van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Wolf Poll. Tiger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Jovens Democratas MZC's Charles Eger was substituted for Vinícius Galvan. In the 80thth minute of the game Giuseppe Negri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tiger's Wolf Poll was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wolf Poll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Negri in the 85th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Eliseu Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Poll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliseu Simão in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf Poll prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
