Fulko Schwaderer started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco van Basten in the 3rd minute of play forced Tiger's goalkeeper Wolf Poll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonius Zagermann's late challenge caught a Jovens Democratas MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antonius Zagermann helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Antonius Zagermann got a free kick in the 4th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Cruz in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wolf Poll prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wolf Poll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Veiga in the 15th minute of the match. During the 16th minute of the match Antonius Zagermann completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Antonius Zagermann a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Antonius Zagermann hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute André Luiz Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Poll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wolf Poll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Sabóia in the 20th minute of the match. Wolf Poll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Veiga in the 23rd minute of play. Valentin Loos's late challenge caught a Jovens Democratas MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wolf Poll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco van Basten, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Percival Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Lúcio Cruz sped through Tiger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wolf Poll. After 39 minutes of play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Erasmo de Godoi made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wolf Poll was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wolf Poll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the game, Jovens Democratas MZC's Marco van Basten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wolf Poll made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco van Basten to strike the kick off in the second half. Erasmo de Godois short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Wolf Poll to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jovens Democratas MZC's Filiberto Fidele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Raus in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcel Veiga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wolf Poll. That made the score 1-5 in the 62 minute of play. Jovens Democratas MZC's Giuseppe Negri was substituted for Percival Mangueira. Marco van Basten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Wolf Poll made a huge save. Detmar Stuchtey's late challenge caught a Jovens Democratas MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
